- My cousin has limited or possibly no peripheral vision. She is under the impression that there is nothing that can be done. Is this true? A little history on my cousin - she was born with hydrocephalus. Of couse she has a shunt in her head. She has a lazy eye that wasn't properly treated as a child. I remember that she was supposed to wear a patch over her strong eye to strengthen the weak eye. Because she didn't enjoy this exercise, her parents stopped forcing her to do so. I also recall that there supposedly was an operation / medical procedure that could have been done when she was young to correct the vision problems she was experiencing, but again her parents did not go through with the procedure for fear that something would go wrong. Anyway, my main question remains - is there anything that can be done to correct a person's vision that lacks adequate peripheral vision? Please advise. Thanks and best regards, K.
- I have had lasik surgery approximately 7 years ago. In the past week my eyesight has changed for the worse. I am no longer seeing as clearly. I am unable to see the cable box time, where as before it was perfectly clear. I am very concerned. Is this normal after all these years. I am not a diabetic, or ill which could cause this to happen. Please advise. Ann

- I am a 46 year old female. I have had two Lasik eye exams from two American Board Certified Ophthalmologist that specialize in Refractive Surgery . I was informed that I am a good canidate for custom Wavefront Lasik and also Wavefront PRK. My Corneal tissue in both eyes is thicker then normal, which I was told was good. My Pupil size and Eptithelium were in all good. Current presecripton is: Right eye, 5.50,+1.00,105, Left eye,-7.50, +2.50,080. My main concerns are that I was tested for dry eyes(Schirmer test and TBUT) Which I have in both eyes. The doctors both recomended I use Restasis for 0ne month prior to surgery and possible plugs inserted. Iam Curently using Restasis. I also have a hard time seeing at night.
